Mishimoto In-Line Oil Thermostat

Mishimoto has been at the cutting edge of oil cooler technology for several years, and we continue to test and improve our product lineup. My personal favorite product line is our bundle of direct-fit oil cooler kits. These kits offer a completely bolt-on oil cooling system which includes mounting brackets, premade oil lines, an oil sandwich plate, large oil cooler, and application-specific mounting brackets. Along with this you receive the Mishimoto stamp of approval, acquired through rigorous testing and proven oil temperature drops. Now, you may be thinking that other companies are creating similar products. While true, most of these competitors are providing kits specific to one make or even one model vehicle. BMW 335i/135i Performance Aluminum Radiator

Test-fitting day! After scouring local forums and maxing out our contact list, we were finally able to locate a 335i owner willing to lend us his vehicle for the day.

Peering into this engine bay reveals " well, not much really. Shrouding and the upper radiator support hide the radiator almost completely. The entire package is mounted fairly far forward in the vehicle, and the best glimpse when fully installed is of the radiator hose connections. Check out a few shots of the stock radiator still installed.

Once we developed a game-plan for the day, our engineers set about removing the stock radiator. The "book time" for replacement is just under two hours for this radiator, which is slightly longer than most, but not terribly

Mishimoto Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S Performance Cold-Air Intake

With a general idea of our plans for this product, we set about removing all the necessary components so we could begin fabrication. Steve, one of our bright engineers, would be taking the helm for this particular project, with others lending a hand throughout the process when needed.

Our first task was to fabricate the main portion of the intake pipe. We would be using a separate piece to house the MAF and air straightener. This particular pipe routes air from the front bumper area into the engine compartment. We needed to decide on a pipe size and route that would provide the least restriction, greatest airflow, and most effective A/F ratios. Take a look!
