The Mishimoto Universal Transmission Cooler and Power Steering Cooler Kit is used to cool automatic transmissions and power steering units. Some Mishimoto radiators are available only for manual transmission applications. By using the universal transmission cooler, automatic transmission users have the ability to use our all-aluminium radiators with their automatic applications. Transmission coolers can also be installed as supplemental cooling units for trucks which undergo a high amount of stress due to towing. Many transmission cooler kits use standard 3/8" push on fittings, although you should check your service manual for your specific application.
