Product Description
This is a full kit replacing all components of the OEM system with upgraded parts to help facilitate power gains and improved airflow. Our airbox is fully enclosed. It is powder-coated black, shields heat from the radiator and seals alongside the bottom of the chassis to grab fresh air from the front of the car. We have improved the pressure drop by over 40%, which means our intake outflows stock by nearly twice as much. This will help keep your intake air temperatures low under acceleration. Our MAF housing is made of a glass-reinforced, plastic-injected silicone mold.
This intake gives the Coyote V8 a hearty gain of 19 whp and 23 ft-lbs of torque without a required tune! We have spent countless hours, miles and dyno runs to ensure that AFRs will stay safe and fuel trims are within an acceptable range (more details found below in our engineering blog). We also replaced the stock intake elbow with a silicone elbow and included a block-off plate for the sound tube to give you the option of keeping it. The elbow comes in your choice of red, black or blue, and the full kit ships with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

As 2016 approaches its end, I can't help but reminisce. It's been a wild ride and a lot has changed. We have a new president-elect, the Olympics took place in Brazil, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint, Ryan Lochte lied about being robbed at gunpoint, and Leo finally got his Oscar. You know what hasn't changed? Our resolve to make awesome parts for our automotive community.
It was May 3 when we announced that we were going to make an intake for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. I know it feels like the updates for this project have been trickling in at a slow pace, but quality takes time. In our last update, we went through the rigorous testing our prototype endured, including pressure drop, dyno and road testing, so we could be confident in our results. It may seem that we have been dormant on this project, but trust me, the activity around this 2015 Mustang GT intake could not be more alive! In this update, I'll outline the results of the extensive R&D we put this prototype through. Our Mustang's V8 Coyote motor has spent a lot of time running with this our prototype intake, and we wanted to document the many steps along the way of this research. We've had our Mustang GT for a good while now, and it's time to begin our development of the performance intake. We'll begin by quickly dissecting the stock system and deciding on the direction we'd like to go with our design.
Stock 2015+ Mustang GT intake
The stock intake is fairly standard; from the center-mounted throttle body, the intake tube extends toward the driver side of the engine bay and incorporates the curved design that embodies the style of that classic V8 intake.
